I got mine used, I've only had one issue with it. The previous owner it seems lost the washer that prevents the screw for the case deflectors from protruding too far into the receiver. After shooting it like this for a while the extractor became too damaged to function properly and I was getting double feeds as a result. Not too big a deal, just order and install a new one and add a spacing washer to the deflector screw. Now before anyone says "How could you not see that the extractor was being damaged?!?!", the bolt for both calibers on this rifle were pretty badly mangled by the previous owner so it was very hard to tell what was old and new wear or damage. That's the gamble when buying used firearms via the interwebs.
XCR's have gotten a bad rap because RA's quality control leaves much to be desired, but on the other hand because Canada is a big chunk of their market, there is support for their firearms up here, mostly through Wolverine Supplies. And after-market mods are slowly appearing too so they are becoming more and more customizable as time passes.
As for accuracy, I can only speak for myself, but even as a beat up used rifle mine keeps good center of mass groups up to 100+ meters, even with cheap Norc or surplus ammo, as would be expected from a combat rifle design intended at one point to compete for the M16's replacement. With a good light optic it's even better. All I can really say is try one out if you can get your hands on one to test it, I personally even with the problems I've had, still enjoy shooting my XCR.
