XCR Barrels

So, will the Mini's be coming in all the calibers and will they be pink? Sorry, will they be black, fde and od?

hey don't dis the Pink :)

Mr. Hipwell did the pink XCR as a tribute to the British SAS.

Personally I think Mr. Hipwell must had a "special" relationship" with them back in the day Nudge, Nudge ;) ;) say no more, say no more. know what I mean?

Ya, my wife gave me trouble over dissing the pink too. She says I havnt got enough sensitivity or something. Something about breasts......awareness? I told her I'm aware of where they are!
Ya, I remember General Hipwell from back in Nam. I was in the highlight of my life, running a Recce platoon outta nowhere, when I was 2 years old! He saved my life many times! Oops sorry, Acid flashback. Lol!

“Them sounds like fighting words to me”! You are obviously a FNG and do not know me or you would not have said that.

Also I do not comment on what other businesses may or may not be doing, or how they are doing it.

:D

I asked you before and you didn't answer. I had to get a little creative to get an answer out of you. Still digging but I'm happy to see I got a response this time. Sorry for questioning your cred...unlike other retailers you have done nothing to deserve that. ITAR enforcement is murky at best; trivial things are not exported and others walk right across the border. I am hoping you will one day benefit from the strange exemptions and be able to bring in the cool stuff. We profit with new toys and you get more money.

Cheaky FNG says thanks for all you have done up here. Keep up the GREAT work.

I will try and clarify a few points reference XCR barrels.

The UD State Dept will only approve the export of rifle barrels over 16.1 inches and pistol barrels. We chose to go with 18.6 inch barrels in order to keep the XCR non-restricted. I had concerns that if we also brought in 16.1 inch barrels which would move the XCR into a restricted class, we might be asking for problems with the CFC, for 2.5 inches it hardly seemed worthwhile.

We do have the XCR Pistol (Micro)l in stock, this model has the 7.25 inch barrel.

We have a few sample XCR Mini on order, 10 inch barrel , I am told ETA is June but I think that is optimistic. We do plan on stocking these.

We sell both the Mini and Micro with no butt stock as they receive US export approval as pistols. Here in Canada you are free to fit any one of a number of available butt stocks.

We should have 18.6 inch light profile barrels available later this year.

It is not that you the customers are never right, we value your input, but we have had enough difficulties in the past with both quantities and export licence approval that there seemed little point in "rocking the boat" by applying for a US export licence for 14.7 inch barrels when we cannot get licence approval for any 11.5 or 14.5 inch AR 15 type barrels.

This is an awesome synopsis of the different XCRs and Barrels, and where you stand on import possibilities and timelines. i'm sure this one post answers a lot of questions, i know it sure did for me. If I could be so bold, is there a chance you could post an "FAQ" about the XCR's on your website, or a "sticky" on you board? I have seen about 4-5 different threads asking the same question over so many months. I'm sure you get tired of answering the same questions about barrel lengths and possibilities of importation (I know Rob Arms is tired of answering them, based on my dialogue with them about direct, above-board importation).

I think the majority of people who want shorter XCR-L barrels are looking to address the front-end weight issues, especially with the 223 barrel. That was my perspective.

I echo the sentiments of the other posters in commending your dedication in this often difficult field of endeavor. I can be thankless at times.

Cheers, the first beer is on you!

Because I can't bare to have a "my Tavor is ####ed thread" at the top for very long I'm going to enquire about the pencil barrels?
Can you order them on their own? What is expected cost? Are they 1:7 or 1:9? Do you have per-order list?

Lol!
Ya, they are getting a little too defensive too. Poor Tavor owners. Lol!
I heard they have 1-9 and 1-7 coming. I'm also betting it will be the whole kit too for $750+tax and ship.

Its pricy, but don't forget you get the bolt too. Buy it and then sell your bolt for $250 on here. One of us would likely buy it for a spare. :)

We anticipate that the light XCR 18.6 .223 barrels will be the same price or very similar to the price of a regular spare barrel at $499.00 each. Hopefully we will be able to offer 1:7 and 1:9 twist. We will wait for a part # before we start accepting orders please.

Curious John,
Is there a current parts and price list anywhere on your website or on here? I'm a geek and have extra parts for everything. Lol! Well.........not everything.

Ok that's much better. That's closer to the price point I'm looking for.
