Anyone with hands on experience with the new xcr fast 3 and if you prefer it to the original fast stock?

Which one do you like better?

I originally wanted the original fast stock because i thought it looked the best, but got some hands on experience with the original stock and when extended, my face would miss the cheek piece sometimes. So now I'm wondering if the full length cheek piece on the fast 3 is a better design??

Thanks

If you can get it with fast 3 go that route. The original is okay, but the 3 will be better for prone and bench shooting. I'll be upgrading when I have the funds for my xcr m but it's going to be a while.

I have the Fast 1, 2, and 3 stocks. I like that the Fast 2 and 3 have a "dial" that can be tightened to take all the play out of the length adjusting mechanism. But I do prefer the single button for length adjustment on the Fast 1 over the 2 buttons that both need to be pressed on the 2 and 3. I find the single button a bit easier and quicker, but I'm sure I'll get used to the newer design in no time. I'll have to see how the stocks affect my groups. Not sure how much more I'd pay to upgrade from a Fast 1. Probably not that much.

:eek:Are you saying the XCR isnt a precision firearm!!!!..........lol! i thought i was is that forum! ill start a new thread. Thanks for pointing that out.
Hey, My buddy has done some serious work ups on his XCR, he;s managed to get ~ 1.5 MOA out of it if memory serves. that's more precision then some people get from their precision rigs ;)

Not sure I'd call it a precision rig but mine will shoot 1 moa all day - though that was a lot easier once I improved the ergos by dumping the fast stock and that cheapo a2 grip.

So i guess your not a fan of the fast stocks??? lol. You just throw a AR stock on there? Have you tried any of the new fast stocks?

2 round groups ?
Mine was kicking ass if it could manage 3.5 moa with handloads.

Nope, 3 round groups with 168gr a-max. Not sure it'd be a much bigger group with 5's though.

To be fair, I haven't tried the new fast stock. However, I really like the mdt skeleton lite so that's usually my go to for fixed stocks. That combined with a better brake really helps me not get smashed in the face by the hump on the oem stock and shoot better. Your mileage may vary of course.
