I have a XCR in 7.62x39. When I insert a fresh mag , the bullet gets pushed up from the mag and ends up askew in the receiver. This happens once in a while. I am loading the mags to five rounds.

There was a thread on this earlier but the solution was never posted. If anyone knows what the solution is to this problem please post it here.

It is really no big deal. I will just have to file a millimeter or two off of the little claw on the bolt catch. It is a little bit to long and can catch a round when the mag is inserted.

I noticed with mine when I was playing around with the lower and a mag that it would only do it if I pushed the mag in with more pressure on the front of mag. The mag can go in a little crooked because of the necessary play and catch a round on the bolt catch. If I push the mag in with the pressure closer to the trigger guard it works fine.

Easy problem to fix.

Edit: I just filed 2mm off of the bolt catch claw and it is working perfectly. Robarms also sent me a new one free of charge. I didn't ask them. They contacted me.

Im On my Second Xcr . One problem ive found is the saftey selector on the ambi came loose a little blue loctite is needed . on my first xcr the ejector came loose again blue loctite. I would recommend that a new xcr blue loctite everthing to prevent losing some of the hardware. I have lost little parts and Terra was nice enough to send parts and spares for nothing .
so for all u xcr haters Im in for over 3000rds i havent had one ftf or one fte but have shot it enough for parts to come loose a little blue loctite fixed that . i have never delt with a company the had better customer relations than Rob Arms . Armedsask and 50 cal will now chime in and enlighten me on my love affair :D ill post some pics of my ar build for you 50 cal just waiting on parts

I've only ever shared my problems, just like you have, and then my over all displeasure of the firearm. I've always provided logical and calm reasoning as to my dislike. I don't take offense to you liking your gun, I simply ask others don't take offense and jump all over me for not liking it.

However, two feeding issues in one week does show this is not an isolated issue.

For living on the prairies you guys should appreciate vaporizing gophers with a black gun that takes ar mags and yes I know Armedsask has a 180b :ar15:

To clarify for everyone, there are some bolt catches that are too long and extend into the magwell far enough that they are snagging the top round in the mag. Not all are like this, I think only a few snuck through. I've received quite a few HAPPY reports from new 7.62 owners, both from members on here, the xcr forum, and website contacts.

If anyone has an issue, let me know so I can take care of you immediately and painlessly.
