I'm getting realy angry with my new Rob arms XCR. When I insert a fresh mag , the bullet gets pushed from the mag and ends up askew in the receiver. That happens with every mag I own and makes the rifle fail to feed...

It seems like the bolt catch hook that is pushed up when the mag is empty was made too long and gets caught on the bullet.

I was given a solution by xcrmonger but that didnt solve anything and created more porblems.

Is anybody else having this happen with their new XCR or did I get the F"""king lemon of the batch.

Help or I'll sell sell this 2500$ paper weight and get a gun that works:mad::mad::mad:

Well it seemed to have worked at first but then I had problems with the mag release being too loose on top of the feeding problem. I run RRA 10 round mags, the factory supplied one and the one that came with my STI AR. Its clearly the little hook on the bolt catch thats too long.

I can grind it back a couple of mm's but what does that do to the waranty?

and more importantly why the hell should I have to load my mags with one less round on a 2500$ gun... to accomodate a fabrication flaw???

One of the girls who works at the shooting range where I go is having the same problem with hers.

Are you "Slamming" the mags home from the bottom? Are you easing the bolt forward rather than letting it go?

Firing mine for the whole season and didn't have one little hickup at all!!

Scott

I've tried reloading gently, by slamming, upside down, on either side the result is the same...actually its even worst when I insert the mag slowly...

trust me, I've had lots a experience with semis including the 3 ARs I own. Its not something I'm doing wrong. and I've never had such a serious malfuntion with any other gun. I'm losing faith in this one and I certainly wouldnt trust it with my life. My 30 year old mini 14 is more reliable

So, I will send it back to my dealer and and ask them to have it fixed. If they dont, I will get rid of it.

Don't ya know, on their future models there claiming perfection. Too bad you got an over priced 2500 dollar lump that clearly missed the quality control process. I feel for ya bud, I'd be so pissed...

This is not the first time I've herd about guys having to mod their XCR's in order to make them work properly. IMO you shouldn't have to do a damn thing, nor should you have to load one less round in the mag, thats a laugh... and so pathetic... The gun should work outta the box, simple as that! (especially one thats priced as high as the SA rifles) I suppose if you actually paid what the gun is really worth you wouldn't be as PO'd, but when you spend close to 3K on a rifle your expectations usually are high...

I hope this gets resolved for you one way or another... Keep us posted,

There is no need to be *rude*. You are being ridiculous. I am simply trying to help a customer troubleshoot his issues. Your unnecessary contribution is unwarranted.

Sorry but it sickens me, this is not "new" we have herd this all before... I hear more bad then good on these rifles and it's too bad, because the guys that paid that price tag deserve better....

Sorry,

Ms. monger
I'm sorry to wash my dirty laundry in public like this.

You have to understand that consedering what this gun cost, this is very frustrating. I will however go through the proper chanels and hopefully you guys can figure out how to fix my gun.

Thank you

I liked mine so much I bought another one. I shoot with about a dozen other folks who have not had any trouble with theirs either and a couple I know a running some really cheap ammo. If you bought it from Wolverine Supplies talk to them as they have excellent customer service.

You bought the right gun and anyone who says otherwise has never tried one.

mine works great. I have only had a malfunction once,...possibly do to the fact I have the gas setting down low. I know personally of others whose .223 XCR has worked great.

You know the policy on personal insults.
