XCR fun in the water 8)

Great Vid, that X39 shorty looks the shiznit,

Misanthropist, 551 should not be an issue, it has a piston, any piston weapon should be ok.

I really wouldn't want to speculate whether or not anything I own can withstand the same treatment, unless the particular rifle was designed to be fired after being under water for any given time, given the fact that water does not compress as well as air any quanity of water in the gas chamber with no easy path of escape would be very dangerous.

Interesting...so an 858 as well...or an M14?

Is it really just DI guns that would not take this treatment?

I am just trying to gauge what I am seeing here...if this is a real achievement or if most of my guns would do this if I wanted.

I don't think i'd be trying that any time soon. I'm surprised the barrel didn't explode with all that water in it.

Soon as he breaks the surface, the water would drain out of the barrel and the gas tube, however if the rifle was complete underwater while he pulled the trigger, that would not be a happy ending.

No swimming though..

I'm suprised at how the XCR handles that.. that little X39 is growing on me. (and I'm a Swiss Arms guy ;) )

The .308 is coming along nicely. They've started stress testing parts. In the meantime, we've got another shipment of 5.56s going out within the week. I just finished checking them over, and will shoot them after lunch. :)
