XCR gas tube assembly

Hi guys,

I just stripped down and frog lubed my XCR Key-mod and am wondering what is the correct way to insert the gas tube? Do the notches on the end go towards the muzzle or the receiver? do the holes point down? I can seem to locate my manual.

The notches interface with the protrusions on the gas block.

The vent holes can face either direction. I believe factory shipped them pointing down at the barrel, but it's been covered many times before- they function the same up or down. I suppose if you were submerging the rifle you'd want the holes pointing down for water to drain out, but otherwise it makes no diff.

Also if you feel its rattling too much for your liking, you can crush the tube down slightly at the gas block so it fits snug.

If you are running your rifle in dusty condition flip the tube, so the holes faces up
