so.....being a guy that likes all his guns to feel as close as I can get them in hand I sent of My XCR to have the sides and bottom Rails milled off :cool:I hate all rail covers with a passion and with the rails on the XCR covered made the front feel way to fat

Wow, nice milling job, very slim! Silly question, does it seem to affect the weight/balance?

the rails are over done.....I will drill and tap a rail section on "if" i need it I like clean simple set ups

never did it for weight savings

That said, it would be pretty cool if they (RA) milled some holes a 3 and 9 so that you could attach rail segments if you really needed them.

No way, then there'd be EVEN MORE things to Loctite:)

JK, I don't really like the Loctite jokes (I own an XCR). But I couldnt resist.

one thing this old Irish guy has is balls...lol I just did not see the need for rails....this is my truck gun now! and i have a 1/7 223 conversion coming too

They XCR is definitely one fat chick and weighs a ton from the bolt forward. Removing that excess fat would sure go a long way to helping it feel more balanced. I just don't have the heart to remove my rails, I need them for the m203 launcher up front while I'm hunting. Deer burgers anyone?;)

Looks ###y but you should change your thread title to my slick clean shaven XCR ;)
