XCR-L .223 and PMags

I've had my XCR for about 2 years now and have 10 Pmags and 10 LAR 15 mags. They have all functioned perfectly including locking in to the mag well.
So far I've put approx. 4000 rounds down range with perfect function. Good rifle at a decent price.

you know whats weird, now that i cut the hole in the mag the mag will lock perfectly with between 1-5 rounds in it, but an empty mag will not lock, when you shake the gun the empty mag will still pop out...pissing me off now

I have an XCR, and I cannot get any loaded mag to lock in on a closed bolt. Empty mag will lock in just fine. Anyone have a suggestion on how to get a loaded mag to lock? Even with 1 round in, a mag won't lock on a closed bolt, so its not a rivet issue. This is with both a 5/30 GI mag, and 10 round LAR mags.

Clean & lube your mags, or replace your followers. There's no reason for it not to lock with just 1 round. The follower would have to be canted and be binding for this to happen if the mag seats normally when empty.

I find it hard to believe that there could be a problem with the followers on 10 different LAR mags and 1 GI mag, but I'll give it a try.

It's the only variable. Your gun's receiver isn't changing. The mag release isn't changing. The release catch isn't changing. I'd definitely go with disassembly and a good clean & lube on one of your mags and give that a try. I agree, follower issues with such a large number of magazines is highly unlikely.
