XCR-L loves hornady superformance .53 g. I know it's only 3 groups and I'll try this rnd out again. I think , with a better scope, bench, and shooter , it can do better.(2x7x33 ,led sled, at 100 yards). Even the AE 55 g was 2 moa and less.image.jpgimage.jpg as you can see I'm no pro , at shooting and photo taking.... Brian

i know eh,..the XCR loves that round. I posted pics and was called a liar, that my groups had to be a fake..that I shot a bunch or rounds and picked the best. it will do sub MOA with this round. I used a vortex 3.5x 10, and benched it. gas setting was S or 1.

Just wait man, there's a few guys who are gonna be on here in a minutes calling you're rifle a unicorn. I won't give out they're names, but you'll see them shortly.

Nice shooting!

Yah doesn't surprise me you're getting that with those types of ammo, zombie and superformance, the results from the nosler are nice, i picked some up recently, haven't shot it yet.

The zombie and nosler were under 2 , but the 53g superformance was 1 and under, I'll be getting a better scope and try those again

why would anyone lie about this stuff?

Dunno, some people do though, they have a lot of free time on their hands.

But 90% of the range targets posted here are true representations of what the rifle and ammo are doing.
I shot 2 ,5 rnd and 1 ,6 rnd groups with the superformance 53g, 2 were under an inch and 1 was a touch over. Keep in mind it was cold and there was snow on the table, and it was a 2x7 scope. I wasn't taking my time either. Aquire the target , pull the trigger.
The scope was getting fuzzy from the barrel heat . I shot 300 rnds in a 2 hr period . I measured abot 10 or 15 groups in total, I don't think anything was over 2 moa. I'm not sure what the proper procedure is for shooting groups but if I were to take my time and had a better scope, I'm sure I could do much better than 1 moa with this gun.

I have a few more bxs of the hornady superformance left, so when I get my new scope, (2.5x10x32 vortex PST ) I'll do 5 or 10 , 5 rnd groups , to make sure.

Nice shooting, sounds like the latest keymod version is much more accurate than the previous model.
I like that you were shooting quickly as well, I hate the one shot every 3 minutes with a semi auto to make sure it doesn't heat up and have POI shift.

LOL, I know armyman204 was talking about me.
Time will tell if most of the new rifles can do this or just the ones that got p'd on by the Rob Arms unicorn ;)
Sorry to disappoint brother, I'm open to the idea these rifles can perform, I've just never shot one that did or seen anyone post a pic of a target that didn't have 20 holes splattered all over it with 5 circled claiming those to be a group.

When I post pics of my targets I use a new target for every group, no re-used targets with holes all over covered up from previous shots. Until we see those there will continue to be skeptics.

ya ,I hear ya. I was out today ,mostly for the break in period and to see what ammo she liked. I didn't put much effort into the groups. Next time ,when I have a better scope, I'll try the Superformance 53g only and put some effort into it,if they go well,I'll try get some in bulk for reloading. I gotta say though,I shot a nice few groups with diff ammo, and the worst was under 2 moa and that was AE 55g black box . Oh, I did 5 shot group, then checked and measured, covered holes , then repeated. I believe I shot 1 , 6 shot group. Never left the holes un covered and shot a second group. I'm confident this rifle will shoot those 53 g hornady Superformance 1 moa and better all day long.
