XCR-L 7.62x39 Mag issues?

Hey,

Are there reliability issues with the RA XCR 10 round pistol mags in 7.62x39?

Would there be issues with LAR 10 round mags in a 7.62x39 XCR?

Trying to figure out which mags are worth using.

I never had a problem with mine but I did see some pictures of the welds popping in some. TheWhole9Yards did have some problems with at least 1 if you can find the thread.

But is the Robarms mag designed differently? like specifically for 7.62x39? and does the Lar mag still hold 10 7.62x39 rounds?

when you load then just tap the top on your hand that will align all the round correctly and you will not have any problem , otherwise because of the taper of 7.62x39mm you may get the tips down and a jam

And you have to do that with either mags, ra pistol mags or lar? So these alignment issues happen with either mag?

This ^^^ and also the last round can be really hard to load into the newer mags. If you are using an sks adapter then you won't be able to insert the fully loaded mag when the bolt is closed unless you first trim a 2-3 mm off the follower's bottom (really carefully)

I have mine loaded to 9 because with the ranger plates it doesn't take 10 anymore but 9 seats with very little effort.

Those were NEA branded mags, made by e-lander.

ASC made XCR pistol mags are the best I've found. I have over 500 rounds through each of mine, use them for 3 gun - haven't let me down

Any chance you know a source for the ASC mags? Seems everyone carries CDefense LAR mags. I've found those to go "tips down" after 20-30 fills. At first, they worked flawlessly. Over time, not so much. Would love to try the ASC ones to see if there is a difference.

So, currently, which company makes the best 10 round mags for x39? Is it ASC? Does robarms make any mags them selves?? If so, how do they stack up?

Never had problems with any of mine always load 10 rounds no problem, ASC or C Products. Approx 1500 rounds down the 7.62x39 XCR and no hiccups ever.
