XCR-L in 223 or 7.62x39

I already have a mini 14 and am looking at anew XCR-L key mod light weight barrel in black. I am considering going 7.62x39 due to a much larger available cheap ammunition. No I won't be loading my own. I still have about 2k rounds of cheap norc 223. but that's drying up .32 cents for 223 and about .20 for 7.62.Other than corrosive is there any other issues with 7.62..I know I can always swap out the barrel in the xcr. Wonder in more about ballistics, recoil I don't shoot much past 100yds.

If you're not stretching out past 100 much, 7.62 is the clear choice because of ammo affordability and availability.

Just bought a light barrel 7.62x39 and I really hope it works out for me! I'll be kicking myself for not getting the .223 if it doesn't
