Xcr-l major problem

Problem is its awesome! Lol just got it and love it!new keymod version I heard it was gonna be heavy but it's not to bad. Got a few scopes to try on her. Scorpion 4-24x 50 . Used a crossfire vortex 2 1-4. And got a burris 322. Does anyone know what's better ammo to use for accuracy for this gun? 5.56 or 223? At our range it's 200 yards and I want to test her out at that with precision

Ya that's the trouble with the darn things, every time you go to the range you want to take it. Mine likes American Eagle 62 gr. FMJ 5.56 .

Pick up a variety of cheap ammo, shoot some (5 shot) groups, stock up if you find one that shoots 2 moa or under. Reloading is fun too and adds a whole new dynamic.

Congrats on the XCR, I absolutely love mine
I shoot Norc out of it and reloaded rounds for matches
Norc ammo damages steel because of its velocity

I should really check what its accuracy is at, it just shoots well enough for 3 gun out to 200m so that's all I care about with my reloads

Wolverine has the AR 15 stock adapter if your looking to switch it out

I would probably try 62gr you may get some decent precision out of it or with hand loads

I have the same problem with a lot of my guns too! My Daniel defense AR is my biggest. I think my heart grew 3 times in size - any doctor will be shocked. Really, that should be checked out, right?

Lol ya. Haven't tried 62 grain 5.56 only shot 223.I'll pick some up! I wanted to get bulk tulsa or something but I don't want to wreck a gun that feels and works so smoothly

You won't be disappointed. I thought it was a but much but the gun and all the controls were well placed . Easy to adjust . Takes all ammo. I love it.

Red box Federal American Eagle 50 g JHP or Hornady 55g Vmax for mine.

250 INCH pounds on the barrel screw and I use gas setting #2 for break in and ran it "wet".

I had a Vortex FFP 4-16 on it but just went back to the open sights and a Burris reflex on a 45 degree pic rail and swapped to the 6.8 SPC barrel kit for deer season.

I have had no issues with the latest Keymod version. It's as handy a yote gun as was my AR.

If you break the barrels in like a precision rifle, these are guns that will shoot have XCRM .308 shooting HSM 168 gr. Hibrid into
.414 at 100 yard 5 rounds and it will shoot federal and Hornsby match into .5 groups just love this rifle!

My xcr-l keymod has been great. Never tried grouping it or cared to, have an eotech mounted and hits what I aim at.

Just bought a 7.62x 39 conversion kit. I don't want to use corrosive ammo. Can you buy bulk non corrosive. ?

I've seen American Eagle FMJ in bulk in stores in ON. 55 gr I believe it was. Maybe try searching some sponsors here, as they have pretty good ammo deals at times.

The only advantage of converting to x39 is cheap ammo.
