Whooo hooo...

I just got off the phone with Tyson @ Wolverine my OD green FAST stock for my OD green XCR-L will be shipped today...

Now to decide what to do with my OD green Gen 2 NEA and black Dlask stock adapters and my OD green Magpul CTR stock and my original OD green factory tube stock...

Oh what a problem... :p

Nice. Pictures when you get it. In answer to your question: Hang onto to them until you've had a chance to try the stock out?

For those of you asking this is exactly what I am going to be doing.

It wasn't a question more of a hmmm which stock set up should I use today...

Nice! I also received a call from Tyson and my OD green XCR-M shipped on the 19th as well w:h:

I have a green Magpul UBR stock that will be replacing the fast stock.

Just got the notice that they tried to deliver mine today. Cant wait to slap it on there and sell the original.
What are you guys selling your original ace style stocks for?

My FAST stock arrived today...

Here's a pic with my old tube stock. I tried to improve the cheek weld on the original by using paracord to secure a couple pieces of foam to the top tube. It seemed to work well enough, but the cheek weld with the fast stock is definitely improved.

Sorry its not actual 'Loctite' brand... was getting too expensive to buy brand name so I had to switch to the generic Permatex stuff ;). Just kidding haha.

The new stock seems very well made, and is the stock the gun should have had from the beginning. It locks up nice in both the folded and unfolded positions and there is no movement or rattle in the stock from the hinge or LOP adjustment. My only complaint would be the cheekpiece is a little narrow compared to an AR stock and when viewed from the top almost seems small on this full sized rifle.

The gun has ran basically problem free for me for around 2500 rounds now. The only malfunctions I've had were a couple of failures to go into battery in the first 1000 rounds or so. These happened on gas setting 1 with lighter handloads and brand new LAR mags that aren't exactly smooth feeding. On gas setting 2 with handloads or factory I have yet to have a single malfunction. I did put blue threadlocker on a few of the screws, but I do that with scope bases etc on every gun I own, so I don't really consider it to be a big issue.

I tried to pick my tan fast stock up at CP today, but apperently the truck was running behind so I should be able to pick it up tomorrow. :D

I am happy to get the fast stock, but I was really hoping the call from wolverine was about my 6br, I'm starting to think 6-8 weeks meant 6-8 months... :(

BeerBaron how do you like that Vortex scope?

I love it. Feels very well made, clicks are tactile and audible. Quick to remove and the zero has been very repeatable with the Vortex branded ADM mount. For its use on a rifle like this though I would be tempted to go with one of the newer versions with capped turrets. I don't find myself adjusting them a whole lot on this rifle, so might as well have them capped and protected so they don't adjust in the case while in transit.
