XCR-L OD Green FAST Stock on its way... :)

Whoo hoo I picked up the stock this morning when I got home a couple hours ago I popped it onto my XCR-L...

I have to say I am impressed.

Now how do I lower the cheek piece and which single point sling set up is the best for this rifle?

:)

Yeah yeah yeah...

Here is a quick review to install the stock I popped the upper off of the lower then removed the one bolt that holds the butt stock on.

Next I installed the new FAST stck by placing it in position then re-installed the screw and yes I put the tiniest drop of loctite onto the screw threads.

I messed around pushing the button on the base of the hinge to lock the stock into the folded/shooting positions until I figured out that you just grab the entire stock where ever you want lift it up and swing it into position making this a super fast easy to operate locking system I was even able to lock it into position silently.

The cheek piece is extremely easy to adjust as well it has two main positions with .25" adjustments just grab the piece snap/slide it back 1" lift or lower it then slide it back into place it locks in very securely.

I need the lower adjustment due to how low I have my scope mounted on the rifle.

You can also adjust the entire hieght of the stock by unscrewing 2 screws located inside the hinged area of the stock I believe you can raise and lower it one position (it has 3 height positions) I'm sticking with the middle positon that the stock came with.

Length of pull is another easy adjustment push up on a button under the stock then just slide forward or rearward I'm not looking at it right now but I'm thinking there are 6 locking positions from 10" - 13" LOP.

No real rattles seems very solidly made and no I have not shot it yet only suggestion I could make is that adjustable/replaceable recoil pads be made available I like a slightly longer LOP that is 13 1/2" - 14"....

Pics will have to wait I am trying to get out of here need to get to work...

Yes I like this stock it is exactly what I was hoping it to be.

^Good review, Guy at Wolverine is shipping mine out in black as well. Cant wait to get rid of the nasty lop of the original skeleton stock, it was just way too short imho. Hopefully it will come next week.

I just bought a Magpul MS3 and RSA. Using the QD point under the stock and the RSA on the front rail you can move from single point to conventional sling with ease.

I very rarely pop my scopes off of my XCR-L uppers but now that I have the FAST stock on I decided to see how it would work.

Once the scope was off I installed the MI ghost ring sights that came with the rifle when I bought it.

I had the cheek piece in the low position for the scope but I found the higher position to be correct for the irons.

Where I have the FAST stock fully extended when the scope is on I have it in only the second notch with the irons.

With the FAST stock in the folded position the OAL of the rifle is appr 30"...

I have now decided what stocks I am keeping I plan on putting up for sale the factory original OD green tube stock and the gen 2 OD green NEA stock adapter going to keep the Dlask adapter and OD green Magpul CTR stock.

The Dlask adapter with the CTR stock fully extended has appr 1" more OAL than the FAST stock.

Now I just need to get that ugly flash hider off the barrel and install a threaded cap...
