XCR-L vs M10X - Better 7.62x39 high level gun

1.5 moa out of a 7.62x39 pattern gat is outstanding. Its good but not mind blowing in a 308 or 556 pattern but substantially better than the 4-10moa other combloc/m10x puts out.

Vz mags may not drop free but neither does the mini nor does the ak mags. Kinda how rock and lock mags roll. And the xcr mags are nowhere near the reliability of vz mags.

If the m10x was about 500 less with a lighter barrel amd had some of the performance issues resolved it would be a stellar buy. As it sits the best cost effective option is the vz/cz. Not that it doesnt have its pitfalls with lack of flattop rail and limited handguard space to name a few.
Ya gotta add too that it’s got the ability to still be reloaded with stripper clips if needed

Since years I use the XCR-L in 7.62x39, and I do love the gun. The only issue is with the AR15 style Mags
Since the m10x came out I'm intrigued, so I tried to update my initial evaluation:

Not sure about accuracy, recoil and so on for the M10X.
Has anyone experience with both platforms?
You could add the type 81 on their too aswell

Granted some people rather have a good ol sks and be done with it but for others who like a variety i like mine. In respects it’s like asking why someone would pay 3 times the cost for a yugo m59/66 sks over a generic sks in the end it’s an sks. Only been a firearms owner a year now but since I had a clean slate I just invested in an 81 since I didn’t have an sks or anything else to ponder on the one feature I’ll admit I like on an 81 is the adjustable gas system you can flip with a bullet case mine runs fine as a plinker and looks badass with an 75rd drum.

Yea not interested in buying a bent rifle for a grand just my opinion.

My vz58 is awesome but like mentioned earlier it is hard to mount magnified optics, however it can be done. That's why I'm excited for the wk181. If the world was going to end today I would be relying on my vz58.

I think when you factor cost and the fact you can use the gun without owning a bucket of mags the sks wins that list. You could outfit a large family/group for the cost of them compared to an m10x or a xcr.

SKS seems to shoot as well as the other options for practical use in the field. Throw on a sling and find a way to mount a light, it's a pretty good carbine for 250 bucks.

The type 81 is about as similar to an SKS as a AR15 is to a G36 haha

The only reason why anyone should consider a type 81 over these other options is IF you just want to add something different to ur collection... OR if you want something that is styled like an AK.

I seem to remember the article caliber magazine did on the m10x and for the most part they were getting anywhere from 4-10 moa except 1 load was patterning at 21 moa or thereabouts

12-24" at 100m? Is that even possible? There must have been something really wrong with that particular firearm...

Yeah.

The problem is that the "dust cover," or outer upper receiver is a slip-fit with the actual barreled action and is only retained by transverse slip-fit takedown pins.

So the big advantage the M10x provides over the VZ; primarily being that the M10x is far easier to put an optic on, is moot since the rail you're bolting your optic to is not affixed to the tube the bullets come out in anywhere near an acceptable form. I mean, would you ever use an optic mount that slipped onto a rail by hand and was retained by two pins that fit loosely enough you can remove them with your fingers?
