XCR-M / Does it hurt to release the bolt on an empty chamber?

Hey guys. I have no issue dropping the the bolt on my AR when empty. Not so familiar with the XCR's though, I highly doubt it would lead to damage but just wanna make sure haha. Hate asking these noob questions, thanks!

It won't hurt it at all. Let it slam shut and dry fire away.

Just a hint you can just release bolt any way you want, but after pullback bolt a a little way and touch off trigger it will release hammer more slowly!

You don't have to baby this as it is a battle rifle after all. If I have to slowly lower the hammer, Id throw in in a wood chipper and move on to something that won't break. Slam the bolt shut and pull the trigger, you won't hurt it at all.

if i ever have to baby a rifle like 220 said, i will get rid of that POS and get a better one.
