Anybody that buys a first gen gun (even like the ACR/Masada) needs to understand they are getting an un tested product.

This is very unlikely the case with most firearms that are coming out of the majority of firearm manufacturers. They spend a fortune on R&D and testing, putting tens upon tens of thousands of rounds through them to ensure they are up to snuff.
Two recent semi-autos that hop to mind are the FS2000 and the Tavor.
These have been extensively tested both by the factories that produce them and the Nations who field them. If someone is putting thousands of dollars on the line for untested designs, that is their business - buyer beware.

The F2000 and TAR21 are both currently fielded service rifles. That's a whole lot different to something like the ACR.

Remington/Bushmaster have spent a small fortune in R&D this includes destructive and endurance testing before the rifle was released for retail sales and the ACR is not a yet fielded service rifle.

look closer it's a 7.62X39 Alex is shooting, he is just trying to flush out the corrosive salt as he goes, unless he is actually shooting in the salt lake.

He's shooting 5.56 also in that vid. I was joking when I posted that. I guess I should have used the sarcastic smiley or something. As far as the video goes, I couldn't imagine getting any of my rifles wet.

Especially an AR-15... Unless you like your guns exploding on you...

Disclaimer: I love AR-15's and plan to own more than a few in the long-run.

I can pretty much say Magpul and Remington's Lawyer's never thought for a minute that RA's patent request would be approved .I am sure if look at firearms history in the 20 century there are simular examples of many different bolt hold open devices and the FN FAL is verr simular in operation

Simulur is not a word. Come to think of it, neither is verr :p

im going to resuscitate this thread with the hopes that there is new information about the xcr mystical.. is there any new info on it?
