XCR-M - Picture heavy! Post 30 - brief range report!

Very nice, but I would of used a different backdrop for the photo shoot.

Might be just preference, but I don't find anything nice about the inside of a gun case.

Thanks for the constructive criticism! I'll do something about that next time. My other shots, I didn't use a gun case, but a fabric backdrop - I'll go back to that next time around.

I tried starting out at setting 3 which was properly too hopeful. I bumped it up to 4 and that was fine and then have been working it down again.

Took this to the range today - only got to put about 40-50 rounds through it though. It was hot and sighting-in my 10/22 took up a chunk of time. Ran flawlessly - not a single problem with 3 different types of ammo: Core Lokt Remington, American Eagle, and Federal Hydro Shock. Recoil on this rifle is really good - I was anticipating a sore shoulder, but after all was said and done - not a problem. The weight of this thing though, makes offhand shooting a bit of a pain - time to get back to the gym ;) Once I get some optics and a bipod for this - I'll be doing my best to put it through it's paces for longer range - I know it's not a precision rifle, but if I can get consistent groups at 300 yards, I'll be happy. That being said - I really like the flip-up sights!

So -overall, very very happy with the performance. There was operator error - of a magazine that wasn't fully seated that caused a FTF and dented casing, but beyond that - not a single problem. (Unless you count the 30 degree heat making the rifle very damn hot to pick up)

Operator here. Lesson learned - do not ride the charging handle.

This rifle is on my list now, impressive in every way.
