I ordered parts to fix my XCR-M 308 interesting the damage started when I used the OEM ASC mags it came with I changed them out with DPMS mags which stopped the Jams and many other stoppages and double feeds used for about 100-200 rounds. After recieving my DPMS mags from Wolverine we put another 500-600 rounds through without any problems. Just last week we put 90rnds and then it started the same jamming and double feeds randomly could be first shot or second it also would sometimes loads first round and refuse to eject.
Took apart it and the initial damage from original problems obviously had got worse after wear in.
Bolt Assembly and the Lug further back were worn out past spec so they would catch going forward or back on the Upper Reciever. Ejector Was bent and mushroomed a little. Filing down the mushroom got rid of the problems by probally 10%.
I am surprised it took such a beating compared to other rifles using same ammo or similar amount of rounds in same period. Got to say tho the peep sight on it I actually like and I h8 peep sights
Anyone have a nice photo showing the XCR-M Upper Reciever inside where it meets the Bore-Barrel I need to make sure the dings I see there are not out of spec
