Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions on what type of sling would be best suited to the XCR-M. I wish that it had a sling attachment point at the back end of the receiver just before the buttstock.

technically, it does. On the bottom of the FAST stock, which the rifle comes with, there is a hole for a QD button. I will be running a Vickers Tactical 2 Point sling in this, I may try and put it on tonight, as a matter of fact. If I do, I will post pictures for you.

I put a DD qd socket on the rail:

And a vtac padded two point using the front and rear qd points.
The padding is necessary with the weight of this beast.
I tried doing secondary transitions with just a narrow, unpadded, single point sling attached to the back qd, it was quite uncomfortable :D .

To long a rifle for a single point.

Run a Cadex Push Button sling plate up front on the rail or the Rail Mounted sling loop and run a Vickers (VCAS) with it.

The sling mounts can be found here

And the VCAS can be found here

We do have 1 or 2 VTAC slings in the store but we sell about 16,000 VCAS a year compared to about 6 VTAC

;)

A single point sling with a long rifle like that: if you anger the gun gods you WILL end up nutting yourself on a transition!

*Having a single point sling on my Benelli M4s90 I have personal experience with this*

A good 2-point will work great, as demonstrated by ntm- a rail grabber QD sling point on the handguard and the rear sling point on the stock would be a good setup.

I was just going to throw on a black Uncle Mikes sling but I like the options here...

How do you like that grip?

Makes the length of pull much better for your trigger finger. Just a magpul miad with the largest backstrap.
Infinitally better than the a2 grip that it comes with.
