I know I should waith lime a mont for this, but the cat is out of the bag and I can't waith anymore!!!

I got a DS RFB and its by far my favotite gun, I'm wondering how the new 308 xcr stack up againt it? I know there going to be the crowd of eager xcr fan that might ne delusanal but id like to keep it rationnal.

Pros and cons.? Weight? Handling? Accuracie? Relyabilaty( incert lock tight joke here)? Versatilaty, mag source( insert FAL mag rant here) etc?

I feel the xcr will have better mag and be easyer to bench, but part from that I am curious to see any other advantage?

Bryce from Wolverine posted this morning that XCR-Ms have finally arrived. All are pre-sold and Wolverine said they will begin notifying customers soon. Shouldn't be too long before we get some range reports.

I called today. If you want one this year, get on the waiting list. The current order is sold, as is the next one coming in ~3 months, the 3rd will be mid to late summer apparently.

I don't have the M but do have the RFB, in the bush the RFB didn't snag on anything and performed great in the stand. I managed to maneuver very well with it; bear rug will be here in two weeks. I'd still like the M also.. :)

I agree 100% I did take my rfb hunting to and could not see myself carring anything else... I'd take a xcr none the less ;)

My buddy is supposed to be high enough on the list to be getting one from the first batch from Frontier. When it arrives and we get a chance to go shooting together I'll post comparing it to my new RFB.
Should be an awesome day of shooting.

I'm guessing they will be very similar in terms of accuracy and reliability but the XCR-M will probably be a little lighter on recoil due to the brake and extra weight. I was thinking about threading my RFB for a brake but the recoil is already really gentle and I don't want it to get any louder. I ran a few rounds through it without earplugs to simulate hunting and my ears didn't start to ring at all. Plugs whenever practical though:)

Probably just going to be a personal preference based on looks and feel as to which one each person likes better.

We can hunt witches?

Which province?

I put a brake on my RFB...recoil is gone completely (well to a point)....standing next to me however is a hazard...:)

Where did you get it threaded for the brake? What did they charge you to do it? Can you post pictures?
Not sure I know why you would need a brake? If yours shoots anything like mine it already has very low recoil but I guess less is always better if you don't mind the increased noise. An easy to remove setup with a thread protector for hunting season would be sweet.

I was thinking of a flash hider but more just for looks than function.
I don't want it to get any louder since I plan to hunt with it and I don't always put in plugs while hunting.

I've not shot an rfb, but going by the groups I've seen of rfb's on here, and the groups the xcr-m was putting down at 300 meters with federal 168gr gmm today, I'd say the xcr-m is a good bit more accurate.

Here's a video of some goofing around today.
