hey guys, I've started to build a collection of 10rnd mags and ran outta puckets lol What pouchs work? Im not looking to couple the mags so they are the length of a 30rnd mag so Id love to find somthing that they will fit without any extra space.
thanks for any sugestions
Matt

Yah, some guys just don't like the couplers. Personal preference.

Go find your self some closed cell foam. If you can't find it free, go to an arts and crafts store. Cut a small block of foam and stuff it into the bottom of your deep/long mag pouches. Now your 10rd mags sit nicely at the correct depth. This is popular with the guys who like "pulls" on the bottom of their mags (like the classic magpuls or ranger plates).

There are short mag pouches if you really want. But I don't know anything in Ontario. Out west here, I'd tell you to go to DS Tactical (in the sponsors list at the top of the page). They sell online too, so you could email them. Personally I find great satisfaction in taking the empty mag into the store and trying it in a dozen different pouches until I find exactly what I like. I'm not sure the "internet shopping experience" can do this for you if you're picky. :) Maybe a fellow Ontario-an can provide better advice.

BTW, you might get more people to look at this thread if you correctly title it "Mag pouches for 10 round pistol mags". (Not necessarily "XCR mags" as these originally came from Rock River Arms LAR - some guys will skip a thread titled XCR)

I like the OSOE velcro lined pouches for my mags. They fit regular sized AR and VZ mags and with a foam block are perfect for the 10 rounders. With a small piece of velcro near the baseplate the pouches don't require use of the bungee retention and are easy to remove with Magpul ranger plates installed.

What he said. I've tried a few options and that's worked the best for me.

5.11 flashbang pouch is the same dimensions as their stacked single AR mag pouch but a little bit shorter, with a ranger plate or magpul it would be the perfect height for 2 LAR/XCR mags side by side.
