Has anyone been shooting their XCR .223 out to 200y and how do your groups look. Load data and PICS are good.
I'm thinking about getting one for coyote hunting but don't really want to spend the money if it can't hold 2" groups at 200y.

Just coming back from doing exactly that. Our gong at 220 yards is about 5"x3" and once I figured out the wind (30km/h full deflection) I was doing 4 out of 5.
Usually with no wind I do 5/5.

100m groups are around 1.5 MOA.

7.62x39 XCR with Millet DMS x4, surplus ammo.

There is little to gain from reloading 7.62x39 but I'm going to try anyway, that how I am impressed by the XCR. Pity, the 858 doesn't leave the case anymore.

But I think my XCR is broken: rounds count since last cleaning/lubing: 940, gas setting 2, no lost or loose screw. Malfunctions: a couple stuck cases (due to laque built-up? Curiously happens only with the first round), nothing that a tap-rack couldn't fix.

For a 2" at 200m all day long, maybe in 6.8 with some reloads.

I haven't shot mine for a while now, but i think it was pretty consistent to 200 yards with factory ammunition.

Would we see an increase in accuracy shooting factory hornady 55gr over federal bthp 55gr?
I shot a few rds of federal out at 100yards. I would guesstimate 1.5 - 2 without fliers.

Are you saying you can hit within 6 5/8" diameter (essentially the size of the B27 head discounting the neck) with 100% reliability with your XCR at 300 meters?
AND to top that, your's is in 7.62x39mm and shooting surplus ammo?

Yes Sir,
that's a bit more than 2MOA. From the 3 XCR in 7.62 I've seen that's normal. In 223 that's another story.
Going again tomorrow, I can take the camera.
Depending on the wind and my wish to walk 1200m on snowshoes...

I have no problem ringing a 6" gong at 200 yards with iron sights/red dot on my XCR 223. I've recently ditched the optic to reduce weight... I am running it like this now:
