As far as I'm concerned, every short XCR that comes into Canada is one less non-restricted that comes in.

I personaly I am not understanding all the talk here. I view a pistol as a pistol. An a rifle as a rifle. As long as the O.A.L. is on or over 26" it's not restricted. Now I can't see a "pistol" being non-restricted in Canada. Anyone want to enlighted me on this subject...

No worries you are correct, once you buy a pistol upper and install it the XCR automatically loose it's non-restricted status, there are no clauses in the firearm regulation that allows for duo status, since the uppers doesn't have a serial number so it can't be tracked.

So,....could I buy the 7.62x39 10rd "pistol" mags,...a non restricted top end ofthe same calibre? I could then use the non restricted 7.62x39 with 10rd mags for IPSC rifle.....!?!?? (it would be a lot cheaper for ammo, and it is easier usually toget that ammo than .223)
