Xcr, swiss arms or tavor whos got the best quality

Swiss Arms has the best reliability and manufacturing quality, IMO. As said above, they may become prohibited, in which case you'd better not be caught with one, nor talk about keeping it on this site.

In order

Swiss Arms

Tavor

XCR-M- I was not impressed with the machining marks along the barrel on mine. Nothing major but I expected a bit more for what it cost me for this rifle.

Swiss and tavor are both battle proven. Which XCR isn't
so you tell me

Just my 0.02

Yep you can add my 0.02 to that, we're close to a nickel!
IDF are some serious mutha fackers, they wouldnt mess around with a rifle that can't perform.

Swiss might be a non issue due to rcmp madness, so you'll get a Tavor just like everyone else (including myself)

Dont get that xcr in 308, there are way better 308s than a Robinson, unless having it look tacticool is very very important to you.

Thanks guys, true about the swiss arms, they are afraid it is too easy to change to auto, what responsible gun owner even does this? Dont want to turn this into an opinion thread but, how many gang bangers do you see using $3000 rifles to commit crimes??? Thanks for the input, best to wait on that one. Think someone will import more iwi tavors anytime soon.

Perceived quality, or actual quality? Big difference. Send all three to me and I'll throw my QA manager hat back on and give an objective opinion. Can't promise all will make it back as metallurgy tests are destructive :D

Anybody?????

You need to try them. I have shot xcr and tavor. I felt like i was weilding an airsoft gun with the tavor. Hated it. Too small for a 6'4 230lb man. On the other end of the spectrum the xcr is massive and heavy. No one in their right mind would drop 3k on a swiss right now. Good luck with your choice.

Lop is longer by a large margin on the tavor vs the Swiss arms.

I'm not sure how you would rate the swiss vs Tavor for quality?

I know I've shot a Tavor that had well over 30k through it with all original parts and it looked new inside with no real wear marks or function issues. I would doubt there are many if any Swiss in Canada that have that kind of hard use that you could compare it to. Don't get me wrong I love the SA the one I had was super solid.

You need to decide what you want to do with it. If you are going to do some bench you will not likely enjoy the Tavor that much until someone comes out with a trigger group - which will be another $300 or so. If you are going to carry them for a long time you will not like the XCR or Swiss that much. I have both the XCR-L and Tavor. A buddy has the Swiss. The Swiss is really a nice rifle but that being said I have no regrets on either the XCR or Tavor. And no, the XCR's do not have the plague of troubles some will have you believe - used to? Yes. But not anymore.

My 2 bits
J
