Xcr upper and lower fitment.

No I don't think so, at least not that bad. I took a piece of tape in between the two upper and lower no more wobble.

I used electric tape between upper and lower but in the end i sent it back and have upper replaced.

I have since sold it, but of all the xcr i tried all had some play, after the upper was replaced it had no play at all.

which part of the gun did you apply the tape to? The lower, in the rear near the stock?

I put a piece of gorilla tape were the two halves meet to take up the play. I'd like to know a better way to fix it other then buying a new upper or lower.

No play on mine. If yours is a pic rail versus keymod, it might just be worn a bit. O ring should fix it.

And, if you're keeping the rifle, I'd dump the FAST stock for a Dlask AR-15 adapter with a CTR or better. (Or grab the used Skeleton stock on the EE.) I am much happier for it, in balance and ergonomics. (MOE stocks have a little wobble) Not 100% sure if it improves accuracy, but cheek weld was better for irons, and the risers can help you line up consistently when using the scope.

I can upload pics when home if you like.

Yeah I'm going to have to do something about this stock it rattles worse then the gun.

Hey bud. Tried the electrical tape option and it worked great. Same spot as yours. I wonder how long the tape will last tho, wish there was a more permanent solution.

As for the stock- dont buy the dlask adapter. Get the one from
Robinson arms. Its made perfectly level so when u add ur ar15 stock u wont need a riser

Had the gun out yesterday for the first time, had some fte. Is the adjustment dial on the gas block suppose to have some play? I had gas setting on 2 to start and the casing were falling by my feet move to 3 and it was better, But still got 2 fte in 50 rounds. Seems like a possible gas problem. I took everything apart and cleaned and lubed. Anyone else have some ideas?

Gas block or adjustment knob have play? The knob/dial is normal to be loose. What kind of ammo are you running? Some slower powders I used while reloading wouldn't work. Brass should eject 10-20ft away. Put it on highest gas setting. I would also strip and clean the gas system, ensure nothing is blocking the ports and the gas tube is installed correctly.

I was shooting 55grain PMC fmj, I cleaned everything there was some carbon build up in the gas block and gas tube. I didn't get a chance to try on 4 I ran out of ammo for the day. Hopefully out this weekend with better results.

IIRC the holes in the gas tube should be facing down towards the barrel or it can cause issues. Also recall a few issues people had with adjustment knob, holes wouldn't line up correctly and a new knob corrected it.

Adjustment knob looks to be okay, the bolt has been replaced and only has 150 threw it so I was told. I've read when new the rifles need a 300 round break in. I wonder if the new bolt would need the same.
