Xcr v. Mr1

Just get a CZ 527 FS chambered for .223. It’s already got that magazine that sticks out a little bit. That’s tactical right? It even has sling swivels already. The possibilities are endless.

yes, that's very tactical. you need to use krylon paint on your wood stock to make it uber tactical though

Interesting,
Makes sense then why they changed gears like that. Pass it on to one of your other parts, who would market it as a fresh product.

Ya I agree completely. Looking at photos of the RX4 and MR1 mechanically the two rifles are almost identical with the exception of how the ARGO system is attached to the barrel. The MR1 even has the hole in the hand guard for attachment of the forward rail.
As for attaching an AR stock to one I think it would be doable however I think any such kit would have to include a new “Rat tail” (FN-FAL speak) as like the with AR the main recoil spring is housed in and is designed to work at the angle of the of the current butt stock. Also any spring housed in the buffer tube would have to be tuned to work with the self-adjusting feature of the ARGO gas system.
In a way it’s unfortunate the rifle isn’t more popular as it is quite modular and if demand were there it could be easily upgraded. In addition to an M4 stock adapter it would be reasonably easy to make a new interchangeable railed forearm and the trigger group/magazine well could be swapped out to improve ergonomics.
I’d still rather have my XCR back though.

Might have missed this suggestion as I skimmed through the pages, but could a Messa Tactical Urbino stock for the Benelli M4 shotgun fit on the MR1? If so, the stock comes with a cheek raiser that would solve the cheek weld problem when mounting optics.

Even the producers don't know if it fits: http://www.mesatactical.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=960

Ok so since it was an incredible day I hit the outdoor range and re-zeroed my XCR-L @100m, started off outta whack and ended up with 1/4" up to 2" groups after a total of 20rds on two sets of targets. The Bulls-Eye in the vid is a 2" Dia...I also included just for my 1st time shooting a .50 Cal

Ok this is my vid now letw see all those other Black Rifle Accuracy Vid's :)

Yeah, or that's 6-10 MOA... ;) I think a single 5-shot group is probably more indicative.

Yah I had a spotter scope to help and I did tighten up the grouping!
I had it zeroed prior at 50m with AM .223 55gr ammo and today I used PMC X-tac 5.56 55gr for the 100m zeroing, I noticed a difference between the POI with the different ammo. I don't think this rilfe is anywhere near a tac driver but certainly combat accurate and capable of 1/2" - 1" for someone who reloads and can shoot better than me.

Here is a Benelli MR1 50rd grouping vid, not much better than my 100m XCR-L test...

Ya, but if you wanted it to be practical, you would have to duct tape a 5 cell Maglite, under slung so you can let them know where you are at night. Oh, and a beer bottle opener in front of the mag.(that's key!)

This is the guy who does the best redneck Tactical builds anywhere!
