Xcr vs swiss arms..need help

Redleg what type of steel is it, if not mild???

It is not mild steel. More like a dual phase alloy steel. That stuff, when drawn, is super hard and abrasive to trim steels. Is being used on vehicle frames for strength and lightness. You would be amazed by the strength of the new generation alloy sheet steel. Making stamping dies for this stuff is a whole new ball game because of its properties.

I couldn't agree more... It's no AR, that's for sure... :p

The same can be said about the SA fanboys circle jerking it, and taking comments waaay to personal, when a simple observation is made, with regards to materials used.... :p

Your observation is just a guess though. Try citing some authoritative sources on the type of steel, and then comment. Btw, all your other posts generally make 100% sense.

You cant diss FN like that... they brought the world the mag 58. Have you shot a scar?
You wouldnt say that if you had.

an FNC if we could have it.... would be better than a xcr and SA

I can do what ever the hell I want! This is the internet! Sure the machine guns are ok...I've used them all to great extent. Have you ever shot a SCAR or an FNC for that matter?? I have used an FNC and most other rifles produced by FN. After the FNC, their rifle designs went for ####. That pregnant pig F2000, waste of money.

I'll admit, I've never shot the SCAR. I don't imagine there to be too many people Canada side who have.

I'm not saying I don't want to see one become available or try one out...I'm just not going to hold my breath.

Redleg what type of steel is it, if not mild???

As I posted previously it is very hard. So I would suggest it is a quality alloy that has been properly heat treated. Details of the steel are not available from SAN, so I cannot be specific other than to reiterate again that it is definately not mild steel.

Some very knowledgeable and experienced people are taking the SCAR over the M4 right now. The SCAR is a very well thought out design. If you haven't the experience with it then I'd be careful saying it's not better than the M4. SOCOM does not agree with you.

SOCOM cannot afford to disagree at this point.
