XCRs on the way!

Nice Rifle, but for that price($2200)...

...Besides, If you want to change caliber use a different rifle, i.e. .223 - ar10b($1200), .308 - M14($400), 7.62X39 - CZ($650). = $2250.

If one rifle fails you have two others to fall back on, IF one(critical) part breaks on the XCR you'd have to wait for parts/repairs.

That said, it still is a nice rifle and if I had extra $$$ to burn I'd buy it.

So... EMAIL and PHONE orders for 24 rifles?

I think they should make it phone only or email only :p
No doubt with phone they will be getting non-stop calls all day long (PIA) - with email it will be decided at 10:01am who the first 24 rifles are going to.

I must've missed the memo... what's good about this rifle? I know of the name, but never really looked into it in great detail.

Its certainly nice that its a non-restricted piece though.

Throw a rail and flip up sights on a AR and the price is pretty similar.

I do agree, but if the phone lines are jammed or someone can't use the phone at work he always has the e-mail. If someone really wants on that bad, I am sure they will find a way of getting one. However if I see one of these things in the EE in the next few days priced at 3K I'll be angry.

That is possibly the best way of doing it and like he said, e-mails are going by time that they were received so have your e-mail all filed out and send it in right at 10AM CT. How fast can 24 rifles priced at $2,200 really be sold? I wonder how fast they can move $53,000 worth of merch? Then again, some people have alot of money and this is a VERY nice non-restricted toy.

Not really... you can get a StagArms flat top AR with flip-up front and rear sights all from ArmsEast for $1750, or even less if you just put together the AR yourself.

So the XCR is basically a $2500 rifle! Is it worth the price tag? I have been toying with the idea of buying an XCR but I would like to first know how reliable it is. Does anyone know how it compares to the M96 or the AR180b. O I may just have to buy one to find out!:D

h ttp://www.robarm.com/XCR-M16_Comparison.htm

Their comparison is just a tad bit biased... I've never had feed or extraction issues of any kind from my AR nor do I have a problem with sight alignment. And it takes all of 3 seconds to open it up to inspect/clean...

It's a nice gun but it's pricey. For another $700 you could get a Swiss Arms and have something that more closely resembles a military firearm in reliability and accuracy (with different internals), while retaining a folding stock, bayo lug, etc.

Also, I wasn’t overly impressed with it's accuracy in the gun rags (I’d have to dig it out to see what magazine) and we all know that gun mags pretty much cater to the industry (especially when you can turn the page, in the same magazine, and see an ad for the rifle they are reviewing  )

I'm totaly on the fence about this rifle as I am the AR180B. I really can't wait for a reputable CGNer to write a review.

It's nice though... very nice... OK where is my VISA?

Jeff

Nope no intrest from me here

so its non restricted big deal its STILL registered so if an when they ban semis its gone

I only shoot at the range unless im hunting and when i hunt i use a shotgun anyways

and yes im still buying semis i bought 3 in jan and one today...

interested, but there are others that are probably just as reliable in a non-restricted platform - Ar180b. One of the neat things I wanted that was supposed to be included with this rifle is the folding stock..........?> what happened to that??????
