XCRs on the way!

I had a SIG Pe90 and while it is a good gun, it is too heavy for it`s caliber, the ergonomics are not as good as the AR (for me), the mags are expensive if you can find them, accessories are scarce and expensive (how many of you got airsoft cheeks rest?!?)... Plus, the accuracy was not much better than any run-of-the-mill AR. It was unrestricted, that`s a good point! I sold mine and did not regret it (much!)

I`ve been waiting for the XCR for over 2 years now... On paper, it is better than an AR while retaining the ergonomics, it is unrestricted and light. Once the folder is fixed, it will be handy to carry around as well... I believe it will be a better rifle than either the AR or the SIG PE90. As far as spare parts go, of course the AR is impossible to beat but SIG parts do not grow on trees either!

yup, I think it's a sweet rifle. I love my AR, but it's restricted. The pe90 is way too heavy + fugly. Ar-180B is a POS (because of the plastic lower). I got the money put away for an XCR.

Will they bring in other length barrels, that's what I want to know. I mean being Non-Rest is gooad and all, but I'm a range monkey most of the time, and I would love to have shorter barrel for range use. But IF they bring in 16", or shoter, barrel, how do I register the gun? It's not different rifle, I'll be just changing the barrels to different length. Does that mean my rifle will be both Restricted and Non-Rest? (Don't you laugh at me, I know I ain't the sharpest knife in the drawer.)

when 10 round ar mags(223) get the ok via ar pistols or 30 rounds get in this rifle will have alot more interest to me.

At that price, I'd save an extra month and go buy another SIG...I seriously doubt if the XCR is going to hold its value once the novelty factor is gone.

I'd have to agree with X-man... Do I want one? Yes.
If it were $1500 I'd be on the phone for two... but at $2500, well, it's not as appealing (to me) :)

However, I think the demand "is" there and people are willing to pay the price... I am looking forward to the reviews and pics which will no doubt follow.

The AR180B still get the best bang for the buck IMO - I am hoping that in 1 year the XCR's will have dropped in price.

:p Don't worry, I'll still be kinda jealous when they make it here :D

Just had to put this pic in here....

Those M96s are friggen ugly!

Those XCRs are very nice looking rifles. I don't have a .223 rifle yet so this guy might be on the list. I'll be proven by the time I get the $$ together.

Yeah X2 on the SCAR. Oh man am I ever horny for the SCAR Heavy..... Mmmm
