XD custom work

Is there anyone in Canada who does custom work on XD pistols? I tried Armco but no luck.

Everyplace I have heard doing it is in the U.S. What kind of work are you looking for?

I have been looking at at least a trigger job, ramp polishing and new sights. I would like to send it to Canyon Creek but it seems that it is a giant hassle to send it to the US and get it back again.

Go onto the xdtalkforums and have a look around. I believe there are some companies selling trigger kits you could do yourself or have a smith install for you. Sorry I cant help you more.

I am a regular at XDTalk. I think it is Pistolgear.com that sells those kits but they don't ship to Canada. I have seen it suggested in a thread here at CGN that the easiest way may be to take your pistol to the States for a shoot and then have the work done and then come on home. I am considering that. Canyon Creek is in Illinois not far from Chicago.

XD work

If you are referring to the trigger kit, it is made by Springer Precision in Oregon and they ship to Canada. I have installed one in mine, very nice.
