XD9.. should I break from tradition?

I sold 3 1911s and bought 3 xds. I like how they shoot and feel. And before the bashing starts, yes I still do have one 1911 left.

There have been plenty of threads about the trouble getting parts for the XD from Springfield. The was because I thought you would have been aware of the problem from reading the threads. There was a time when Springfield wanted the pistol shipped back to them to be serviced. Maybe things have changed.
