Got to talking with some people over at Calguns.net about if anyone knew if Springfield was going to be making a 10 rounder for the XDm. California has the same 10 round max capacity as we do here so I wanted to know if the XDm had been for sale there yet or not. A gentleman posted this link: http://www.vaportrails.us/html/xdm.html about a guy who "converted" the 19 round 9mm XDm mag to a 10 round XDm magazine.

Not sure if this is useful to anyone, but it's there for the taking.

Now we just need someone to take the lead on this........;)

Here's the latest from Springfield ... (heard this before, but hope they are serious this time). Maybe, the more interest they hear from all, the more serious they will get.

Hmmm, that's better than the last I had read, that Springfield had no intention of making 10 rounds mags in the forseeable future.

I hope the e-mail speaks true! :)

Springfield has great customer service:). I'll be purchasing an XDM when they are available.

Everything I have read, states that the mags are different between the XD & XDM. I have also approached this from a different angle ... found a gunsmith in the US, that will mod 4 mags to 10rds and ship me up an XDM of my choice with all export / inport paperwork and costs, totaling $1000 US.

God, I hope they make those 10 rounds mags available soon.

I was all set to buy the XD9 tactical and then I saw the XDm. I cant even look at the regular ones now without lusting after the XDm lol

Curious about something though..why is the XD line so expensive in Canada? Makes it harder to justify the purchase over Glock sometimes.

In the States the XD is so much closer in price to the Glock than over here.

Life is painfull if you think and ask too much. Anyway I have shot several XD that owned by different shooters, they are great gun and the XDM is a better gun over all, if they avilable in Canada, I may just sell all other guns and keep one of those XDM.

Because I'm so impatient I'll probably end up getting the tactical in the next two weeks or so but when the XDm is finally available here I will probably be kicking myself wishing I had waited.
