XD's and recoil springs

I've been playing around with handloads and was wondering if anyone has experience replacing the recoil spring with heavier or lighter weight springs.
I have a load with a 180gr Hornady XTP that clocks 1185fps that shoots well and am toying with the idea of replacing the 18lbs spring with a 22lbs. Any thoughts?

The #22lb spring is awesome. I have also tried the #24 and #26 springs... but it gets harder to pull the action back by hand... but it sure cycles nice.

Has any one tried the dual action springs that are supposed to drop the recoil by 500 to 750 ft/lbs?
