xl650 shellplate bearing kit

Has any one tried one these? Is so what do you think? The only ones I have seen for sale are on e-bay, $9.00 bucks or so but $18.00 shipping.

Saw this on another forum, I believe you just need Timken NTA-815 and washers, should be able to get this at bearing supply, Acklands or wherever. Double check but it is just a thrust washer/bearing for a 15/16s shaft.

I got one. It seems to work OK I loose less powder now as the plate indexes

I use them and i bought the bearing at my local farm dealership. i will look for the numbers and post them here this weekend. i know i had them on my phone but my phone died yesterday now i have to find the paper version.

As for using them they helped a lot.

I ordered the bearings and washers from a local shop. It took almost six weeks for the breaings to come in and the washers never did - I ended getting those at Lowe's.

They work great!
