XM-177 Commando clones

I'm interested in building one of these retro beasts for a project and was wondering aside from Colt, do any manufacturers produce the 11.5" fixed handle upper with the distinct flash suppressor and where I could get my hands on one here.

As far as I know, going to have to build your own. You'll need to get yourself a fake XM177 type flash suppressor. The real ones are prohibited as they are classed as a sound suppressor.

Norinco CQ311, if you can find one, would be a good start.

I was lucky enough to find a Colt A1? upper on the EE, Long time looking, Took forever to find the right stock, again lucky enough to find a colt one ,again from a board member.



Just have to keep looking on here,shows up all the time.

Heres the XM177E2 I built for my son

The used an A1 upper with Forward Assist & no Case Deflector
Flash Hider is a re-pro 4 1/2" as original.
re-pro Grenade launcher ring
11.5" barrel as original , except its a heavey barrel. Originals were thin profile.
Colt M16A1 pistol grip
Stag lower, couldn't gring a lower up from the US
thin handgaurds with correct delta ing
2 position aluminum butt stock
