Recently acquired this bushmaster xm-15 e2s from a buddy who is moving provinces and didn’t want a restricted firearm anymore. First ar15 I have ever owned, or even had my hands on. Was thinking about selling it, as I’m hopefully expecting a wk180c soon. What would be a ballpark resale value? Quad rail is allegedly off his service rifle when he was over seas in the armed forces. I’m assuming that is true, I doubt he would lie about something like that, comes with the factory forend. He bought it 4 or 5 years ago I believe, took it to the range once, about 150 rounds, been sitting in the safe since, until I got it. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Canadian Armed Forces? If so and if true, stolen DND property, especially weapon related is not a good selling point. Be careful man.

In the CAF can they put personal kit on the service rifle? Maybe he put his own on and used it overseas, if you’re allowed to customize. They don’t give soldiers rifle parts for free as far as I know.

To the OP: on the EE I’ve seen anywhere from $800-1200, and more if aftermarket parts are installed.

He also may have gotten the part himself since the issued stuff wasnt "ok". This might have happened before the infamous canforgen forbidding any and all privately purchased parts/adds to be used with service weapons.

If not, as Robbs mentionned, that's a very big no-go!

It is strictly prohibited modifying your service rifle in any possible way, unless CAF approved.

You also don't want to be caught with stolen DND stuff
