Xmas gift ideas for established trap shooters

Hi folks,

I'm trying to figure out what to get for my friend who shoots trap and does dove shooting. I'm thinking of getting a 25 round hip pouch from cabelas, but what do you get for someone who already has their gear setup for their tastes?

Perhaps attend the club your friend belongs to and buy him some rounds of trap.

Find out the name of his home club and see if they sell pre-purchased rounds cards. Our club sells pre-paid trap/skeet rounds cards for $50 for 13 rounds. Individual rounds are $5/round so the pre-paid cards work out to pay for 10 rounds get 3 free. I know as a shooter I'd appreciate something like that.

It might sound silly, but one of my essential pieces of gear is a hat my daughter gave me, right before my first registered trap shoot.
It has huge sentimental value and I would't think of competing without it.
Just a thought

Most of us have the "stuff" that we use and are fussy about what we use. I think you have realized that based on your comments.

If they shoot registered targets (ATA or PITA) members, you could pay for their annual membership or a subscription to the magazine (Trap & Field). Shamrock Leathers ( http://www.shamrockleathers.com ) make some very nice products. Here is a magnetic barrel rest that they make, which I like to use. ( http://www.shamrockleathers.com/collections/leather-shooting-gear/products/magnetic-barrel-rest ) They are $20 US and they will put his name on it.
