Xmetal targets big news

Had the opportunity to meet Etienne last year (and do a little shooting too), awesome guy.

All the best in this new product lines. Looking forward to purchasing from you guys in the future.

Super!

J'habite à rimouski et je dois toujours faire venir mes munitions par internet. Peut être que bientôt je pourrai passer directement les chercher :)

Two things are going to matter here (other than the obvious need for quality)......

1. Price..... You'll need to offer a significant saving over new commercial ammo and,as a new player, be very competitive with the other commercial reloaders like Wolf, Wasp, Centaure etc.

2. Shipping costs....It will be very important that you negotiate the best possible deal with a shipping company. Shipping costs often seem to kill what otherwise appears to be good deals on ammo. You should look at offering free shipping on orders over a certain dollar value (CanadaAmmo) or number of rounds (Tradex)

I wish you luck. It would be nice to have another option here in the east.

I don't think it's that "crazy" to make ammo in Canada. We do have some reloading factories already.
It would be great to get factory made ammo. I too prefer brass but would try steel if that's what you're making.

BTW, it might be a good idea to have an English speaker proof-read your ad copy.

But is it "factory" ammo"? The mock up of the box says "reload". I would assume they are looking at being a commercial reloader like Wolf or Centaure (using once fired factory brass). That's why it doesn't make sense to me that the ammo would be "non-reloadable"...maybe it is a French to English translation thing?

This might be a dumb question but if it is reloaded ammo how can it be other than brass cased? If it is brass why would it be non-reloadable?

Berdan primed. But most likely they will have steel cases.

The box says reloaded ammunition. If they can reload it why can't the end user? That is what sailor and I don't understand

Yes, that's what is confusing to me. Is this going to be newly manufactured ammo or a commercial reloading operation? If the latter how can reloaded ammo be non reloadable

Hi Guys,

We wanted to answer to your comments and concerns about our publication that we did last Friday.

First thanks to all of you who took time to comment here and gave us some piece of advice.

We’re sorry about the confusion for our ammunition box but we did work to fix it.

The not-reloadable label on the box was ask to fit for some regulation rules when we ask our factory liscence from the canadian gouvernement.

By showing the picture of the box our goal was to share our design but don’t worry if you’re looking to reload your ammunition it’s working.

The calibers that we’ll be doing were target as the first market that we want to get in.

It’s a big investissement and we had to make hard choice. Our rifle ammunition (.223 and .308)will be made with 99% of brass IVI. All pistol ammunition will be brass case and mixed head stamp

Our goal is to keep the best quality and a hight customer service.

On another subject, we’re french speaking guys in our business.

So if there is someone interested to join our team as an english speaker to take care of our customer service, social network and sales you can send us your resume on our email adress at info@xmetaltargets.com. It is a full time job with us!

We’ll post an official job offer soon.

We look forward to hear from you.

Thanks for your support!

^ Thanks for the clarification. I'm always interested in another source for ammo. Do you have any time frame on when you will have pricing information or when you will have product available?

edit

Is the non re-loadable label some new government requirement? I have reloaded ammo from Centaure, Wolf and Wasp in my ammo cabinet and none of the packaging says "non re-loadable"

When we was in the process to get our ammunition license we had to add this label on the box. It is just a sample that we shared here. If we're not required by law to put this label for safety, we'll change it.

We'll do another post in time for the pricing information. We're getting our equipment ready, start our production and as soon as we're ready we'll share it with you!

Thank you!

Congrats on the new venture. Looking forward to trying your new stuff.

L'isle Vert might be a bit far for me to move to do English CS but I'm tempted.
