I just received this email regarding the recall on the Remington 700.
Does anyone know who is doing the trigger fix or what the fix is?
Don't want to just send my gun blind to get a 1/2asst trigger job.
I actually like the trigger the way it is now, original stock.

I'm not looking for advise on fixing the trigger only info on the recall centre and their solution.

Hi,

We have received all your information and entered it into our data base.

When we will be ready to receive your gun or guns, a box will be sent to you with all the prepaid stickers and info on how to ship your gun or guns.
You will not incur any expense.

Please be aware that the prepaid box and label may not come to you for few weeks.

Please be patient this process will take a while because of the volume of guns.

I just realized that my 2013 xcrll is part of the recall!! and only a month before hunting season, I am guessing the whole process of sending the gun in and waiting to get it back will take 2-3 months minimum so what do I do? will having a timney installed fix the issue and save me having to deal with the recall? I believe the recall is just the XMP trigger

yes.... dropping in a Timney will fix the "issue"..... That being said, the recall is due to a few triggers that had some adhesive build up on the parts.... Take your trigger out, look for excess bonding agent, put it back in your rifle and go hunting.....

Get a Timney, don't subject your rifle to these guys. I have done a 180 on this as a while ago I suggested everybody get their trigger recalls done. Recent events have changed my mind
