XR-100 - is it a good gun?

I have built two rifles on XP actions, a .17 Mach IV and a 6mm Ackley Improved. Both started life as pistols, one is dergistered and one is still registered as a pistol. Both shoot under 1/2 inch. In the 6mm AI the short action reqires a "pick" to remove the fired case (I have disabled the ejector).

I am glad that Remington has finally figured out tat the Xp would makes up into a very nice single shot rifle.

I'm actually disapointed with mine. I think it wants to shoot but needs a bit of help. I'll be taking mine in to get it bedded, and the trigger done. The trigger right now disapoints me. I'll get it right. It'll just take a bit extra.

I took both of my triggers off and replaced them with Jewell triggers. One of the rem triggers was pretty good but the the other was frickin terrible.

A buddy of mine has an XR-100 in 22-250. The trigger on his rifle is good. Mine however sucks. I'm not sure if I'm just going to get a trigger job on it, or if I'll replace it with a jewel trigger.

Well I took my XR-100 in today.
It'll be getting a Shilen trigger dropped in, set at around 2 lbs. The stock will be bedded with posts and a sleeve will be added to the bolt (excessive movement). They're also going to check the crown first to make sure it's not the barrel. I'm upset with this rifle, but I am fond of it. So I'll give it a chance. If this doesn't work nothing will.

I've seen some of this gunsmith's work and it's been good. So here's hoping it works out. I really want a .204 laser.
