My Robinson XCR-L is on its way. I understand that a break-in period of a couple hundred rounds is recommended to get all the parts working smoothly together. I've heard that some cheaper ammo doesn't seem to work well for the break-in.

Currently looking at this MFS surplus ammo from Hungary from Al Flaherty's (it's my closest store): https://alflahertys.com/product_detail.php?pc=B&psc=108&uid=1565&page_num=0

Anyone have any experience with this brand?

Never shot any out of an XCR but generally the XCR will feed and cycle anything and the MFS I have ran through my CZ 858 and M&P 9 has worked very well. The MFS is pretty dirty but it works none the less. I would suggest maybe looking at norinco .223 from Canada Ammo though, free shipping and cheaper then this MFS, plus it is brass cased.

Oh also I should mention that according to the manual (I dont agree) you are supposed to break it in on gas setting 4 which means that the max amount of gas will be directed to the piston and in really will run anything.
