Anyone got a review for one? I want to put a ghost ring set-up on an Ithaca 37 Defense, but I wouldn't mind some advice from my "esteemed colleagues" here at CGN first.

You just don't see many Ithaca's with ghost rings for some reason... If the sights you like match the contours of the receiver then all you need is to drill and tap the receiver and then add a front sight.
Rifle sights are also an option and so is mounting a rail on the receiver and then mounting the ghost ring on the rail.

I'd consider asking BADBOYBEESON as he's familiar with most shotgun accessories and Ithaca's...

I'm planning the same thing (although on an older Featherlight), and I'm going with the rail route... probably a little extra cost in the get-go, but I think it's the more versatile plan in the long run: You can swap the GRS to any other rail-equipped gun, or swap a different rail-mounted sight to the Ithaca, as you please. I don't know how much a rail-mounted GRS costs vs a standard bolt-on one, but drilling and tapping won't cost you any more, and a rail can probably be had for <$30.

Makes a guy wonder if mounting a pic rail and holographic sight might be easier. Not the look I was going for on a classic looking shotgun though.

True, it is as much a cosmetic thing as it is practical... from what I understand, red dot reflex sights (I can't afford a holographic) and ghost rings end up being similar in terms of target acquisition, and you can find both for about $150-$200, IIRC. And I agree that a big honkin' holographic sight looks a bit off... it probably costs more than the firearm itself.

Still, my (personal) preference is to go with the Picatinny rail... my shotgun is getting other work done to it to "complete" the look, so I don't think it'll be so out of place. Besides, I consider the rail to be the more practical option... as I mentioned previously, it seems easier to swap attachments (and rails) between firearms than it is to swap a rear ghost ring sight that needs a drilled and tapped receiver. I don't think you'll have any issues with drilling and tapping the receiver for a ghost ring that requires it, and I think it's the cheaper (and possibly more solid) route, but it's not the one that works for me. Just my $0.02.

A very reasonably priced option are the William WGRS sights. They make one for the Ithaca and ghost ring apertures are available. Do believe that these are what Scattergun Tech used when they first started customizing shotguns.

or you could just buy a set of willson combat / scattergun tec sites.
The frount just epoxys on and the back you have to drill and tap.
i have a set of tritium ones in stock if you want to go that way.
