XS Sights?

Has anyone installed XS sights on a Mini-14? I've been looking at them every now and than, figure the rear peep sight would be easy to replace with the ghost ring but can't figure out how the front sight is replaced.

drift out the pin, and possibly tap it off, or get a collet and hydraulic press

Another question: is it a good idea to just bore out the rear factory ghost ring with a slightly larger drill bit to increase the sight picture? What are the potential problems in doing so?
