Xtreme Models of Tanfoglio Pistols now available for Pre-order. Stock II/III and LC

Wonder the same, Mr.G, as my Stock 3 Xtreme was supposed to be the Mrs. Xmas gift to me.......a surprise one of course.......

Well Mr. R,

We will just have to buy something off the shelf. Epps has a few NightHawks and Wanstalls has some not too shabby Wilsons. I'll race ya!!

Yes, on a monthly basis it seems. See the other threads in my forum for details.

Thier government is bound and determined to ruin their economy.

Given the poor state of the Italian economy and all their export turmoil, I am surprised you are even able to get anything out of the country, let along hand guns!!! Bravo for all your efforts!

Can't wait to see my pre-ordered Limited Custom Extreme in 45!!!

I got a proforma invoice with serial #s from Italy yesterday - I have asked them back when is it arriving and they have not yet replied.
It's gotta be soon if they have serial #s for the guns. (and before it's asked - sorry - no - I can't register and start transfers on them without actually receiving them first.)

As soon as I get a delivery date, I'll post it.

Now how did Sean know that one of us was going to ask? Heck I'm sure we could have found volunteers to pick them up at the airport!!:dancingbanana:

Well, you see - I'm in the exact same boat as the rest of you.
Along with everyone else's guns; I have a Stock II Xtreme in there that I need to get a Form 6 for so I can take it to the Florida Open.
I'm dying to see them arrive.

I see that's in Mid February Sean. You should have enough time. However the ladies in the ATF office are very helpful if you have the "magic". Now you may not have my charm so if you just pack another small bag and swing by Texas, I'd be happy to call on your behalf and vouch for you. My number is 361- 54T-EXAS. Bring a rifle and shoot in the Pirates match with me. Jerry Miculek may make another appearance this year. I've convinced the organizers to have a special prize for visiting Canadians. I'm the only Canuck most of the time so we can do battle.:p

Mr. R.,

Are you trying to tease the kids? Some of us got nothing under the tree and are cranky. Do be aware that you are playing with boys despite what our drivers' licenses say. I assumed that all the trigger would be done in the land of rigatoni. What are you hiding?

Mr. G.

Mr G.....trigger "job" done overseas as I understand.......just wanted to know more details on it...........and go enjoy your tanning........wife buying me winter down jackets up here!

That's what I thought. I was wondering if you were getting special attention from Mr. Sean. For what it's worth it's cold and wet today at just 44F. The locals hibernate at 50F so it's really quiet. We should be back into the mid 60's in a few days in time for a carbine match on Sunday. Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!

Got an update from the factory this AM;

Your order is at the Assembling Dept. so in 2-3 weeks it should be available for being delivered.

There was a bunch of other things in there going on about the issues at the Italian foreign Ministry causing the factory all sorts of hardships that I won't bore people with, but that is the latest I have received regarding delivery.

I PROFUSELY apologize for the delay. When the guns were ordered, the pro-forma invoice from Tanfoglio said "DELIVERY: WEEK No 48" and we confirmed that meant the end of November.

As I get further updates, I will pass them on.

Have this shipment been approved for export yet? Not sure what is meant by "be available for being delivered"

It sounds like some of the delay is on Tanfoglio as well....if the shipment was confirmed end of November...shouldn't it already be assembled?

Thanks Sean. I know I'm one of many that have total faith in you. Dealing with suppliers at distance, language issues and multiple bureaucracies are a major pain. You da man cuz you keep us kids informed.

Firearms manufacturers work somewhat like automotive manufacturers, with some parts kept in reserve but largely on a just in time basis.
The proforma invoice likely doesn't mean guns are finished and waiting for shipping. It more likely means they are scheduled for production and will be shipped in the window quoted if the payment and permits are in place.

If Tanfoglio was caught with a sudden change in permit requirements, odds are the production schedule had to change.
