well it turns out the cocking peice sits too deep in the trigger and when dragging it back while cocking it puts great pressure on the thing underneath it that drops when the trigger breaks and lets the cocking peice move forward again to fire the rifle. im lucky i didnt wreck the trigger it works fine now and the adjustments work well. i stoned the cocking piece till it slid freely. the rem cocking peice under a magnifying glass is not machined it looks like hell and had 2 protrusions like dull skates that left marks on the trigger thingy. i stoned it flat and shiny and slightly less deep. i dont know why the trigger doesnt drop very far to release the cocking peice but it seems designed that way
