I have had occasion to play with one of these cool pistols in .45 and .40, and always figured the 9mm (maybe set up with a spare barrel in .40 S&W and/or .357SIG would be just the cat's ass! I got Sean at Freedom Ventures to get me one! On the way to me as we speak

I agree, and for casual use (or carry , I'd just take it off... The mag is a flush-fitting one with an extended basepad fitted for magwell use.

These guns are set up for ERT/Tactical use, and bulk isn't really a problem. The shorter barrel and slide (4 1/4") is nice, though, as the gun is so much nimbler and faster-pointing

I am sooo tempted to fit one up with a .357SIG barrel/magazine to make loud flame-shows at the range!

If it weren't for the full length dust cover it (in 9mm) would be perfect for IDPA Enhanced Service Pistol Division (ESP).

Go for the STI Ranger II for ESP.

More handy than a 5" yet the bull barrel gives it a muzzle heavy feel that would help with multiple shots.

The RangerII has a really light recoil for a short .45 its quite impressive.

1911 traditionalists can suck on this! I love it, the grip seems a little thick for my taste but I can deal with that considering mag capacity.
