It may be out there already, they make pretty near everything else for the AR...but what I really love about the gun is that integral handle on the gun. To me, an AR just isn't an AR without it! I know a sling is a great way to carry a gun but the ability to carry that thing like a brief case sure does come in handy sometimes.
What I would like is an integral optic built into that handle that features a serious optical sight. I know that some guns already do that like that Steyr and I think you can get one on the SL8 like that...but I want an optic that is more than a red dot combat sight with low magnification. I would like at least a 3x9 for the kind of shooting I like to do. I know also that some manufacturers plunk scopes on top of that handle but that means cheek risers on the butt stock and other mickey-mouse nonsense that destroys the utility and handiness of the gun.
Given the amount of engineering and and after market hot rodding you can do to this fine rifle, something like this would be a great addition IMO. Is a handy means of mounting a scope that is rugged enough to double as a carrying handle available for the AR?
