Beautiful 1911 for sure. Nighthawk Custom definitely makes some of the nicest 1911's on the planet. I have always wanted one and one day I will buy one. Just hard to drop that kind of coin on a pistol.

He is Chris Costa formerly of Magpul Corp. Now he is doing his own thing. And, Kimber and Nighthawk are no where near the same ball league. Nighthawk is far beyond Kimber.

How does a Nighthawk compare to a Les Bear? I've shot different models of 1911's including the Les Bear models, but never shot a Nighthawk. Only fondled one at Target Sports.

That is a ####ing gorgeous pistol but there is no way I would buy it, just because it's got Chris Costa's name on it. I have nothing against him at all (in fact I am sure he's a pretty solid guy) but there's just no way I could do that. I guess if I got a hard core discount on the pistol somehow but that's just a little ### if you ask me. I try not to let image ever factor in to gun stuff but I'm only human.


And Kimber over Nighthawk? Seriously, take a moment to hammer yourself in the nuts on behalf of serious 1911 shooters everywhere.

Good for Costa getting his name on a pistol. There are lots of fanboys who will buy one.

It seems from the outside looking in that Nighthawk was in bed pretty heavy with Costa and Haley soon after Vickers and Hackathorn divested themselves of the company.

I find it interesting that it doesn't have dual gas pedals.

I'll stick with my SIG 1911 Cary. That gun is probably 3x the price. I cant see how it can be even 25% better.
